Much is said and written about women, their problems, desires, aspirations, and needs.
The popularity of topics concerning women, both young and mature, has influenced the emergence of a new publishing genre: "women's press." Responding to a visible demand, this press offers countless wise advice on how to become a modern Superwoman and avoid the burden of this responsible role. Among the role models promoted by women's press, one can, to put it mildly, distinguish three faces of the modern woman: the domestic angel (how to be useful), the seductress (how to be sexy), and the dominatrix (how to be independent). Does a liberated, innovative, contemporary perspective truly shape a "new woman" without remaining in line with classical models? Does the traditional image of women permeate new slogans? The images of women in photographs allude to images of women known from art history or to commonly held archetypes associated with femininity. The headlines of articles in women's magazines published in Poland are also the titles of individual photographs.
