WOJCIECH PRAŻMOWSKI
Fotografie dla Matsudy
Wojciech Prażmowski's exhibition transports viewers to the 1990s, presenting models in beautiful poses, integrated into the surrounding world, and dazzlingly showcasing the outfits of one of the most famous Japanese fashion designers of the time, Mitsuhiro Matsuda. Fashion photography, seen as a tool whose primary goal is to draw attention to clothing, this time defies convention. Looking at the artist's photographs, we are captivated by the fashion of the era, but also, and perhaps above all, by the perfect composition, extraordinary light, unique, almost fairytale-like scenery, and the beauty and naturalness of the models. Wojciech Prażmowski has created a project that captivates.
Wojciech Prażmowski was born in Częstochowa in 1949. He has been involved in photography since 1968 (he participated in the National Exhibition of Artistic Photography in Częstochowa). He graduated from the School of Creative Photography in Brno in 1975 and the National Film, Television and Theatre School in Łódź. To date, he has participated in over 300 photography exhibitions in Poland and abroad. He has been a member of the Association of Polish Art Photographers since 1977. He represents the creative photography movement and creates "photoobjects." His works are included in the collections of the Museum of Art in Łódź, the Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw, the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York, and private collections.
