TOMEK SIKORA
Minął rok
A year has passed. This is a record of my state of mind over the course of a single year.
Photographing myself every day for 365 days created this documentation of the passage of time and the daily emotions that elude memory in our rush to move forward.
When we pause for a moment, it turns out that another year has passed.
This is the second part of the project. The first was created 10 years earlier, in 2001-2002.
Tomek Sikora – photographer, author of dozens of solo exhibitions around the world and 57 publications. A member of the Association of Polish Art Photographers (ZPAF) since 1979. He has received numerous awards for his photography. He was twice honored as Advertising Photographer of the Year in Australia, where he lived for many years. He has designed international advertising campaigns for Sheraton Hotels, Intercontinental, Singapore Airlines, Reebok, and Sony. In 2002, together with Andrzej Świetlik, he founded the Homeless Gallery, promoting independent photography in many countries. In 2009, ZNAK Publishing House released the album "Tomek Sikora the Light-Sensitive," containing several hundred photographs and numerous anecdotes. For the past seven years, he has spent many months of the year in Męćmierz, working on his latest album, "Four Seasons."
